Shipping & Returns
Before we dispatch your purchases, we may need to confirm your details with your card issuer. We will do our best to keep delays to a minimum.
Our delivery time starts from the moment an order is accepted and includes a 24-hour period where your items will be processed and dispatched by our warehouse. Please note this can take longer during our sale periods, in which case it may take up to 48 hours for shipments to be dispatched. Expected delivery time is 2-3 weeks, however, we try to make deliveries reach as early as possible.
Please note that delivery timelines might be affected by weather conditions of shipping destination(s) during certain months of the year.
There are three types of shipping made available at the time of Checkout.
- Standard Shipping - Delivery will be made anytime between 9:00am-6:00pm within 12-15 business days - Free
- Time-sensitive Express Shipping - Delivery will be made specifically between 8:00am-8:30am within 5-7 business days - 30 USD
- Express Shipping - Delivery will be made anytime between 9:00am-6:00pm within 5-7 business days - 35 USD
Duty & brokerage fee is paid by the consignee.
We offer free shipping within India for all orders. Expected delivery time is 7-10 business days.
Once your order is shipped you will receive a confirmation via email of your shipping details, which will include a tracking number. If you have an account with Nitya Biswas, you will be able to view the status of your order online when you log into your account, else you will be provided with a link to track your shipment.
Custom Duties & Taxes on International Orders
While we do our best to avoid customs duties and taxes on International orders, however, in the event that an international shipment attracts custom duties and taxes, you are required to pay all Duties and Taxes on the order.
Taxes and duties are calculated according to your shipping destination. International orders are shipped on a DDU (Delivery Duties Unpaid) basis. This means that any duties and taxes incurred in the country of the buyer, are the responsibility of the customer. In the event, that you wish to refuse the shipment, we will have the parcel imported back to our warehouse, and thereafter deduct customs, brokerage, and return shipping charges and return the remaining amount from your account. Please note that this amount will be calculated as and when the shipment is refused and will be disclosed at that time itself.
There may be times when you will need to return an item purchased from us. Our Return Policy is designed to assist you with the same.
At Nitya Biswas we want to ensure that you love the items you purchase. Please note that Ruche & Hues does not refund. In very specific cases, where a faulty item or a wrong product has reached you, we will process a refund after inspections conducted by our team. For exchange, we entertain very few orders depending on the reason for exchange. Changing your mind after receiving the product does not qualify for exchange.
In case a customer receives a damaged product, they need to inform us within 24 hours of receiving it in order to claim a refund.
Product Specific Disclaimer
Nitya Biswas products are fragile as mentioned in the disclaimer card; and, any damage due to personal mis-handling will not be eligible for faulty return.
There may be a variation in the colour of the item due to computer screen settings and studio lighting. Returns due to colour variations do not qualify under standard exchange policy.
In addition, we advise all our customers to store the bags in a pollywog(s) after each use, as the embellishments used are prone to damage due to oxidisation.
Returns are processed within 10-15 business days of receiving your items. You must return the desired product within 10 days of receiving the parcel. All returns will be automatically processed for refund for the value of the return less shipping.
Refunds will be made in the same form that the payment is received in, within 10 working days from the date of cancellation of the order.
Returns must be received in original condition as defined below:
- Tags still attached (disclaimer, price sticker, etc)
- In original packaging
Kindly contact our customer service team for assistance, within 15 days of date of receipt, and ensure that you follow our return guidelines. In case we arrange for a reverse pick up, kindly allow the third party courier partner upto 3 working days from the date of the request for a reverse pick up. In case you would like to ship the product back to us, please do so at the official mailing address. In both these cases, the returned parcel remains the responsibility of the buyer, until received by Nitya Biswas.
How do I send the item to be returned?
- You will be required to return the item within 14 days (inclusive) from the tracked date of delivery
- You will be required to produce your original RH invoice (receipt) when you return the item
- The item should be in original saleable condition, with all original tags and any sewn labels still attached, in an unworn, unopened and unused state
- A returns form will be required to be completed and should accompany your returning item(s)
If you are not able to comply with these requirements, Nitya Biswas reserves the right to refuse an exchange or refund on change of mind items. Nitya Biswas will not accept a bank statement as proof of purchase.

While we try to ship out every order that has been successfully placed, there are some situations in which we may have to cancel orders.
Some of the situations that may result in your order being cancelled include (but are not limited to):
- Product no longer available or temporarily out of stock
- Limitations on quantities available for purchase
- Inaccuracies or errors in product or pricing or promotion information
- Problems identified by our credit and fraud avoidance department
- Inaccurate or insufficient address
- Non-serviceable locations
At times we may also require additional verifications or information before accepting any order. We will contact you if all or any portion of your order is cancelled or if additional information is required to accept your order. If your order is cancelled after your payment has been done, the charged amount will be refunded to you.
